    Our members have publicly declared their commitment to sustainable development. The majority publish sustainability reports and openly declare their commitment to embracing sustainable development principles and goals.

    The copper industry is acting responsibly and transparently by reporting not only on its economic performance but also its social and environmental responsibility. A number of these companies are privately owned and are reporting without legal obligations to do so.

    The indicators that we have selected for our governance pillar include:

    1. Sustainability reporting: Applies to the companies that are publicly publishing a sustainability-type report.

    2. Sustainable development principles or goals: Applies to the companies that have adopted sustainable development principles or goals.
